How to Use

Warm a little Charcoal Cleansing Balm in hands then massage over a dry face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Add a little water to increase cleansing action then rinse thoroughly. Repeat morning and evening. 

Expert tip: Remove with a damp muslin cloth for a deeper cleaning action.

Activated Moso Bamboo Charcoal Powder

Activated Moso Bamboo Charcoal Powder gently detoxifies and exfoliates skin, drawing out dirt, impurities and excess oils.

Squalane & Vitamin E

Squalane & Vitamin E both offer potent antioxidant benefits, helping powerfully nourish skin while supporting the natural moisture barrier.

Saponaria Officinalis Extract

Saponaria Officinalis Extract (Soapwort) offers natural antibacterial qualities to gently cleanse and soothe skin.

The Routine

  1. Warm a little Charcoal Cleansing Balm in hands then massage over face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Add a little water, if desired, then remove with a damp muslin cloth. Repeat morning and evening.
  2. Follow with your choice of Dermatology M face cream. Massage a small amount over clean, dry skin on the face. Allow to absorb.

The Routine

1. Massage a small amount of Softening Scalp Shampoo over a wet scalp, beard and hair. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. For best results, leave on shampoo for 5-10 minutes before rinsing.

2. Follow with your usual conditioner on mid-lengths and ends of hair, if desired. Rinse.

3. For best results, use with Softening Scalp Tincture. Massage a small amount into whole scalp or affected area, leave on overnight and rinse or shampoo the following morning. 

4. Follow by massaging a little Nourishing Hair & Scalp Oil into the scalp for a softer, smoother finish. Style hair as normal or, if leaving overnight, apply shower cap to prevent product transfer.

Patch test: Prior to trying any new topical, we recommend you carry out a patch test. Apply a small amount close to the area of intended use.

Please note: Natural pigments may cause staining.

The perfect double cleanse

I love ending my day with a double cleanse — it’s honestly my favorite part of the evening.
First, I use the Honeysuckle Cleanser — it’s super gentle and refreshing. Then I go in with the Charcoal Cleansing Balm — it melts everything away and leaves my skin so soft and clean.

recently discovered this little gem. It’s a Charcoal cleansing balm with a lot of great, skin-loving ingredients, including some Chinese herbs.

It’s packed full of antioxidant polyphenols which offers anti-ageing and inflammatory effects, and also improves skin hydration. Of course it contains charcoal, which if you struggle with oily skin like me, will help to detoxify the skin and prevent build-up.

I tend to experience a degree of stripping from products aimed at oily skin types, but this one has been very pleasant and somewhat soothing.
